Anemone's

Anemones fare better when feed occasional feeds of prawn, fish flesh, algae or other frozen feeds. Iodine supplements are recommended especially when not exhibiting good health or suffering from bleaching. Most host anemones will receive all their requirements from the clown fish who share their meals with the anemone. Anemones can in most cases touch each other within the aquarium but care must be taken so any anemones do not touch any coral specimens as this will result in sting damage to the coral. Some anemones with strong stings can kill unsuspecting fish who stray too close to the tentacles.

Coral morphs

Coral morphs are closely related to anemones. Most morphs are highly suited to aquarium life multiplying by division within the aquarium. Iodine supplements are beneficial increasing growth rates. Many fare well under quite modest fluorescent lighting, growth is generally much faster when medium to high end lighting is supplied.

Yellow cup coral Turbinaria bifrons Med Many hobbyists may have had bad experiences with this coral due to no fault of their own. Incorrectly collected and transported specimens will die in a number of weeks from inside the thick base outwards. Try one of ours for a successful experience.
